What's Been Going On with the Perlas???

These past few weeks have been crazy fun. Katherine and Keith found out they matched with their first choice for residency in Charlotte, NC on March 20th. We all went to the Zone for Match Day and then went to dinner together. The next week we were on spring break and we were doing all kinds of fun stuff. LK and I went to the Zoo on Tuesday with our friends the Keiper's. Tuesday afternoon we headed over to GM and GD's to help put together the programs for Katherine and Keith's wedding. Wednesday afternoon after going to visit Anna and Hampton I went to get my nails and toes done with Mom, K and LJ! It was super fun. Thursday was the bachelorette and bachelor parties! The groups met up in the vista at a club that had a MICHAEL JACKSON cover band, "Who's Bad"! It was super fun. Friday consisted of the bridesmaid luncheon and rehearsal dinner! These two events were super fun. Saturday was the big day and Katherine looked beautiful! Laura Katherine was the flower girl and she walked down the isle very well. She looked like a doll. The reception was super fun and LK loved dancing around. One of my former students Jessica, now a teacher, took LK home and put her to bed. This was the first time anyone other than a family member and Mrs Wanda has kept LK and put her down. She did super! We plan to move forward with new experiences and let her spend the night at GM and GD's this weekend. Say a little prayer for us!!!!

Laura Katherine is starting to say her colors. Yesterday she said BLUE, GREEN, and PURPLE! Today we added YELLOW, ORANGE, and RED!

March Madness

What a great weekend we have had. Friday night our family came over and we had pizza, watched some basketball (tornadoes at the Georgia dome made it better for E), and hung out. Saturday we (Jay, Elizabeth and LK) hit up Target came home for a nap and then road out to Harbison to do some shopping. There were some pretty rough storms in the area so we headed back to L-town to have dinner with the Keipers at Hudsons BBQ. Sunday morning we met the Keipers again for breakfast at IHOP! It was good. Then we headed over to Wal-Mart to get our groceries for the week. Jay is at tennis practice and we are just waiting for him to get home so we can go outside on this beautiful day. After Jay got home we went to the Gantt's for some family fun and then we all headed to Fudruckers for a burger. LK sat in a booster seat for the first time like a big girl. It was so cute. She did so well.

Do We Smell Spring :-)

Laura Katherine amazes us more each day. She is really becoming a little parrot. She can repeat almost everything we say. Last night she even pointed to herself and said, "Laura". It was so cute. She has also used the potty to "T T" once. This was so exciting for Mommy and Daddy and Laura Katherine. She kept saying TT TT TT. It was so funny. With the temps rising we have been spending a lot more time outside. Laura Katherine loves being outside and will say "out" and walk to the door when she is ready to go. She is really into her side walk chalk and kicking balls. She does not ever say IN. She gets really upset when she has to return to the house. We have to think of something fun that she can do as soon as we get back in.

We have some really exciting events coming up. Spring Break is in 1 week. Auntie Katherine and Uncle Keith are finding out where their residency will be March 20th and they are getting married on March 29th. Laura Katherine is going to be the flower girl in the wedding. Please pray that all goes well with that. She is going to be 20 months old on the 26th and you know how these little ones are moving and shaking.

I am going to start posting each day....just little things that have gone on and that way you will know before months go by.

Laura Katherine said ABCD with Daddy in the car and always says "I will, I will!" when he asks her if she will say her ABC's with him. She also says "all done" when she is finished with her medicine. (We were told LK had strep last Friday. She was her regular old self but she had a rash that had been around about a week. We thought it was dry skin...NOPE. It was STREP. Crazy!)
